| PRESCHOOL STORYTIME Join us Wednesdays or Saturdays from 10:30 - 11:00 am. Theme-based stories, songs, fingerplays, and lots of crayons, too! Ages 3-5; younger children welcome with an adult. TODDLER TIME If you are between 18 and 36 months old, bring your favourite adult for 30 minutes of fingerplays, rhymes, songs, and stories. Pyjamas welcome! Thursdays from 6:30-7:00 pm on a rotating schedule. Please call 643-7239 to pre-register for the next session. CHESS From beginner to expert, kids of all ages are invited to meet in the Teen Zone Saturdays at 2 pm to play chess. HACKMATACK READING CLUB Runs September through March. Explore, read and discuss books by Canadian authors nominated for the Hackmatack Children’s Choice Book Award, then vote for your favourites. Winners are announced and awards given out in the spring. Geared to children in grades 4 - 6. BABIES IN THE LIBRARY Finger plays, knee bounces, lap rhymes and books for babies make up this half hour program for newborns to 18 month olds and their caregivers. Promotes language development, an early love of reading and a love of play. Please call 643-7239 to find out when the next session is coming to your area so you can pre-register. FAMILY DROP-IN Children and their parents/caregivers can enjoy books and activity sheets based on a theme that changes weekly.
