PRESCHOOL STORYTIME

Join us Wednesdays or Saturdays from 10:30 - 11:00 am.  Theme-based stories, songs, fingerplays, and lots of crayons, too!  Ages 3-5; younger children welcome with an adult.

 

TODDLER TIME

 If you are between 18 and 36 months old, bring your favourite adult

for 30 minutes of fingerplays, rhymes, songs, and stories.  Pyjamas welcome!
Thursdays from 6:30-7:00 pm,. on February 2, 9 and 16.  Call to register.

 

CHESS

From beginner to expert, kids of all ages are invited to meet in the Teen Zone Saturdays at 2 pm. to play chess.  We’re  preparing for a tournament!

 

HACKMATACK READING CLUB

The next meeting will be on Friday, February 17 at 3:45 - 4:45 pm.

 

 BABIES IN THE LIBRARY

Finger plays, knee bounces, lap rhymes and books for babies make up this half hour program for newborns to 18 month olds and their caregivers. Promotes language development, an early love of reading and a love of play. Next session: Tuesdays in March ~ 6, 13, 20 & 27 at 2:30 pm. Please call 643-7239 to pre-register.

 

FAMILY DROP-IN 

Children and their parents/caregivers can enjoy books and activity sheets based on a theme that changes weekly. Available any time the library is open.

 

*If you attend a library program and park in Market Square, ask library staff for a voucher for 1 hour of free parking.
